On 11th of March, Cillian Murphy won the Oscar for his performance as J. Robert Oppenheimer in Oppenheimer. He became the first Irish-born to win the prestigious award, making the people of his country proud. Despite the fame, Murphy believes he isn’t as famous as a Manchester United legend.

He spoke with RTE’s Morning Ireland, where he commented that he wasn’t the most famous man in Ireland or his town of Cork. Murphy claims the most famous man from his town is former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane

No one will be more famous than Roy Keane coming out of Cork! I am a big Roy Keane fan. He is always number one for me.  Cillian Murphy said

Keane was a part of Manchester United from 1993 to 2005. At United, he won seven league titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League in 1999. He captained them from 1997 till his departure in 2005.

Keane is one of the most popular players of his era, loved for his physicality and competitiveness. One of the most aggressive players of his era, he is the most famous Irish football player of all time.

Roy Keane unsure on who will win the Premier League

The Premier League title race is heating up, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal challenging for the title. It has left fans and pundits excited, and with 10 matchdays left, no one is sure who would win it.

Roy Keane, who works as a pundit with Sky Sports, is confused as well. He has commented how Arsenal have improved, how City have had an injury crisis and how Liverpool need to win for Jurgen Klopp

If you asked me what camp I’d be in, and I’m including Arsenal, I wouldn’t know which to choose to be honest. Arsenal are doing really well, they look strong physically, they look different to last year but then you have Man City who have had Haaland out injured and De Bruyne coming back after months out so it’s a really hard one to call. Liverpool and City faced off on 10th, with the match ending with a draw, while Arsenal overtook both to be on the summit of the Premier League. Now City and the Gunners will face off each other on 31st March, in a 6-pointer for both teams.
