Chelsea boss Pochettino: Thiago Silva an amazing guy

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says Thiago Silva is in good spirits.

The veteran defender has announced he will leave at the end of the season.

Pochettino said today: "He is an amazing guy, an amazing professional. Nearly 40-years-old, an amazing career. The players, the fans, the club is going to miss him but he is happy. He is so proud for his career here at Chelsea.

"I wish him the best."

Pochettino admits Thiago Silva is out of tomorrow's clash with Tottenham.

He added: "No good news because we cannot recover any players from the list but have added Thiago and (Axel) Disasi, they will not be available for tomorrow."
