The connection is a no brainer. The best part? Both players are good NFL prospects expected to go on day two of the draft.

It'll be interesting to see where #Michigan LB Junior Colson lands on draft weekend. A lot of LB1 feedback from teams on him.

Does Colson get past the Chargers at No. 37? He is in LA today visiting with a lot of friendly faces now with LAC. pic.twitter.com/7Qh6PqFrzf
Los Angeles lost Kenneth Murray in free agency, so linebacker remains a thin position on their defensive depth chart. Daiyan Henley showed good flashes last season, but they cannot rely on him as their sole young option at the position.
As for DL, the Chargers signed Poona Ford to start inside. He's a solid veteran. Jenkins would provide youthful competition with some legit upside to become the main starter in the near future.
Harbaugh knows his former players better than anyone. He knows their locker room presence. He understands their leadership. All of the factors could blend into the Chargers targeting at least one of his former Wolverines stars.
