The Kings are signing Alabama shooting guard Keon Ellis to a two-way contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Ellis, 22, is 6-foot-6 and appeared in 32 games with the Crimson Tide this past season after transferring from Florida Southwestern. He averaged 12.1 points and 6.1 rebounds as a senior.
The Kings had an available two-way slot to end the season, so theoretically, Ellis will have a great shot to make the roster and get some run with the Stockton Kings of the G League.
The NBA’s summer league in Las Vegas tips off July 7, and Ellis is likely to participate as the coach Mike Brown era tips off in Sacramento.
